government of togo
Togo aims to structurally transform its economy to increase the well-being of its people. In August 2018, under the leadership of H.E. Mr. Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé, Togo adopted a National Development Plan (PND) 2018-2022. This five-year investment plan will focus on increasing private investment, based on three strategic axes:
- Axis 1: Build a logistics hub of excellence and a world-class business centre in the sub-region
- Axis 2: Develop agricultural, manufacturing and mining processing poles
- Axis 3: Consolidate social development and strengthen mechanisms of inclusion.
The PND will be implemented through forty or so structuring projects that will call for hybrid financing combining public and private investors and will undoubtedly establish Togo as a leading investment destination, a country which today belongs to the ten most reformed countries in the world according to the Doing Business 2019 Report.
